11/16 UPDATE

Gator Grove

Welcome back to Gator Grove again! Thanks for our hardworking, everything is growing well in our organic farm. This week we focused on weeding and fertilizing. We cannot wait to share big progress of our farm with you!

You can see that our sunflowers, sugar snap peas, and dragon's tongue bush beans in the first row are looking great! We will have ample bush beans to harvest and share with everyone. Several sunflowers are blooming and hopefully they will trap the pests.

Here are better looks at our sunflowers and bush beans. We are so excited to find they are blooming!

Elizabeth set up the trellis to separate the snap peas from the beans to ensure beans will not overtake our peas.

second row (from left to right): provider bush beans and Chioggia Guardsmark Beets
third row (from left to right): Chioggia Guardsmark Beets, Green magic broccoli, red onions and sweet onions.

last row (from left to right): lettuce, strawberries, hot peppers and sunflowers

Most of the other crops are growing well except for multiple broccoli plants have yellowing leaves.  So, Esahm calculated the the amount of fertilizer and applied in Friday. Can't wait to see the effects of the fertilizing in the upcoming weeks.

Finally, you can see our raised bed which contains basil, cilantro and strawberry. Compared to the last week we can see how much growth we've had over the week.

Overall very excited and happy with the growth and progress of our farm this week. We have been doing some really great teamwork.
